The Riviera 50 Sports Motor Yacht is a 55-foot luxury multi-purpose yacht with an enclosed flybridge that was launched by the iconic Australian boat-builder Riviera Yachts in 2022. Crafted in partnership with naval stylists 4D Designs, this sleek vessel boasts plenty of sporty appeal with an all-action cockpit, a hull built for offshore cruising and engines that prioritize speed. Yet with an outdoor mezzanine lounge, a climate-controlled bridge and elegant living spaces throughout this vessel is also ideal for families who wish to enjoy at-sea relaxation and entertainment.
A towering flybridge with wrap-around glazing, a curved roof and an open aspect to the rear provides the perfect setting for drinks with maritime views. A U-shaped sofa in plush upholstery surrounds an adaptable teak-lined dining table, while a wet-bar station to starboard features marble-effect work surfaces, a sink, an ice-chipper and chilled drinks storage. Also found on this level is a port-side upper helm with two adjustable, leather-lined Pompanette helm seats facing a modern dashboard with power-steering, Penta joystick handling, a CZone monitoring tablet, digital throttles, hand-held VHF, a mounted compass, a trio of Garmin touch-screens, Seakeeper stabilizer switches and superb visibility.
Down on the main-deck there is plenty of opportunity to laze in full sunshine out on the foredeck, where a double sunpad with flip-up headrests presents a chic, secluded and sun-kissed vibe. The feel to stern is more active, with two transom gates leading out to a full-beam hydraulic bathing platform that can also be utilized for tender storage. In the cockpit itself there are fish-boxes, storage units, an ice-chipper, rod holders, an optional tackle and bait-prep station and even room for a transom livewell. Alternatively, equip this space with an outdoor grill and a chilled drinks cabinet to keep your guests refreshed. Head up to the teak-lined mezzanine level to enjoy a shaded space with a daybed and a side-sofa surrounding a dining table, or head in through sliding glass doors to enjoy the salon. In here you can expect a teak sole, your choice of cherry, oak or walnut surrounds and 360-degrees of visibility. An aft-galley with walk-in dimensions boasts Corian countertops, a two-zone hob, an oven, under-counter fridge-freezer units and a steel bucket sink, while further forward there are two U-shaped sofas, one of which hugs a table.
On the lower-deck there is sleeping space for up to six overnight guests, with spaces down here benefiting from plush carpeting, huge cedar-lined lockers, mirrored wall panels and trapezoidal hull glazing. A double stateroom to the bow features skylights and a queen-sized bed, and shares access to a fully equipped bathroom and shower with the starboard bunk berth. The amidship owner’s stateroom boasts full-beam dimensions, a king-sized bed, a block-stitched chaise-longue, a set of timber cabinets and a private en-suite with a waterfall shower cubicle.
Expect to experience top speeds of up to 34 knots thanks to a pair of 725HP Volvo Penta D11 IPS950 diesel pod-drive engines. The most economical cruising speed clocks in at around 22 knots, which translates into a cruising range of 403 nautical miles, though you will enjoy a silky smooth ride at both higher and lower speeds, too.
