Take the river east all the way to Lake Okeechobee for a lush freshwater boating experience, or gear up your flybridge motoryacht or tournament-ready sportfisher and head out into the vast saltwater depths of the Gulf. Alternatively, island-hop between sandy islets or fish in the protected estuaries that flank Cape Coral to the south and west for an immersive and atmospheric boating trip. There are 50,090 boats registered to residents of Lee County as a whole, making this one of the most boat-dense locales in the state, and Cape Coral also welcomes many more boaters all year-round, who make this a must-visit docking point for anyone making their way down Florida’s Lee Island Coast.
Due to Cape Coral’s distinctive geography there are countless jetties and boat-ramps attached to private homes here, with just about every house in some neighborhoods guaranteed a spot on the water. Also, because much of the city is surrounded by sub-tropical mangrove forests and brackish swamps there are less full-service marinas facing the shore than you may first expect. The Cape Coral Yacht Basin at the southern tip of the city offers access onto the Gulf and the river, is located in a country-club setting with tennis courts and a fishing pier and boasts 89 boat slips. Also in the south of the city are the Cape Harbour Marina, a 76-slip facility with nearby bars and restaurants and the Tarpon Point Marina, a 175-slip destination in a resort setting. The largest marina in this area is located north of the city on the vast Gasparilla Sound. The Burnt Store Marina is the biggest on Florida’s West Coast, offering 525 wet-slips and 300 dry storage units, and is ideally located for boating trips out to Cayo Costa, Gasparilla Island and the enchanting Cape Haze Aquatic Preserve.
We have two strategically-placed locations in Florida to better serve our customers:
Cape Coral is a popular venue for sailing and boating races all-year round, though the most unique tournament held in this city is the quirky Cardboard Boat Regatta, a wacky competition between home-made watercraft that has been attracting thousands since it was first held back in the 90s. The Waterfront Wonderland also boasts a rich boating industry, with a range of local boat-builders making their vessels in and around the city. Leading manufacturers based here include Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats, Tarpon Boatworks and Atlas Boatworks.
Since 1964, SI Yachts has been helping our clients through the processes of buying and selling boats, many times it's their 10th or more boat sale with us. We take service very seriously and we are able to retain some of the best service talent in the industry giving us an incredible advantage when it comes making sure our customers enjoy their boating lifestyle. When you buy a yacht from us, our Florida-based mobile service team is just a phone call away.
