A number of large and welcoming marinas provide plenty of opportunity to park your vessel for the night, between tuna-hunting on the open ocean one day and bay-boating around the picturesque shallows the next. Check out the Jupiter Yacht Club Marina, a 79-slip facility in its own resort setting, or the 58-slip Jupiter Cove Marina, right on the river and minutes away from the Jupiter Inlet for convenient access to the Atlantic. Other good options include Admiral’s Cove, a 63-slip marina for yachts up to 130-feet in length in a country club with its own golf course, the 102-slip Bluffs Marina in the south of the city and the Jupiter Inlet Boat Club, a 79-slip marina popular with fishers that not only sits close to the Atlantic but features boat rentals for out-of-towners looking to get out on the water. If you are thinking about heading south to Lake Worth then head to the Cypress Island Marina located just outside the city limits, where 107 wet slips and 142 dry storage spots await.
You don’t have to explore the mangrove-lined backwaters or the deep blue ocean to get the best out of boating here in Jupiter. The Tequesta and Jupiter Sandbars, located in the Indian River and the Loxahatchee Rivers respectively, sit just moments away from the action. These unique shallow destinations sit just inches beneath the surface of the azure waters and are often thronged with boaters, paddle-boarders, kayakers and party-goers during holiday weekends. The Jupiter Holiday Boat Parade, a celebration of this city’s boating culture held each December, is another fun option for yachters who like to stick closer to dry land and socialize with other keen boaters.
The boating sector is key to Jupiter’s vibrant economy, with a wide range of recreational boating firms operating here. The boat builder most associated with the city is the eponymous Jupiter Boat Works, though the brand relocated their primary factory to the Gulf Coast in 2007, while the Hudson Yacht Club operate their North American HQ and sales center from Jupiter.
